Former Samuel Group Intern Anvesh Jain to Join OECD in Paris this Summer 2023

We are pleased to announce the placement of former Samuel Group policy intern Anvesh Jain to a prestigious internship with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Last year, Anvesh was the inaugural recipient of the Dr. Robert Spencer Internship Program in Strategic Studies with the Policy Insights Forum. This summer he will be relocating to Paris, France, to work at the OECD’s Investment Division, where he will analyze investment treaties and policies related to national security and public order.

Anvesh credits his Samuel Group internship for developing his skills and readying him for his next steps into the world of diplomacy and intergovernmental organizations:

“As an intern with the Samuel Group, I had the opportunity to liaise with Canadian national security bodies and NATO as part of our annual NATO-Private Sector Engagement (NPSE) program. I learned how to approach these professional interactions with the right mix of ambition and persistence, which were qualities appreciated by the OECD. This summer, I’m excited to bring my Canadian expertise to Paris and to better understand Europe’s business culture. I want to thank Goran and the entire Samuel team for their tireless support and belief in the full expression of my career potential.”

Through his placement at the OECD, with its multinational workforce of 3,900 staff from nearly 40 member-states, Anvesh has demonstrated the value of a Samuel Group internship and the strength of a Canadian education coupled with work experiences at the local, national, and international levels. Anvesh will return to Ottawa in the fall to complete the final year of his J.D. education at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law.
