Leading Cyber and Intelligence Expert Dave McMahon Joins Samuel Associates

Samuel Associates, Ottawa’s specialized government relations and public affairs firm working with high-tech industries, announces today that leading cybersecurity and intelligence expert Dave McMahon has joined the firm as a Senior Technology Advisor.
Dave will provide added value to the firm, in particular to our Government Relations and Public Affairs, as well as our Canadian Market Entry services.

Dave’s 35-year career has focused on engaged cyber defence, security and intelligence initiatives. He has an honours degree in computer engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and has authored numerous publications, papers and articles throughout his career.
Dave was a Special Advisor to the Canadian Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee and expert witness to Senate Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs and the National Security and Defence Committees. He has acted in the capacity of a Special Advisor to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as well as Canadian Intelligence Oversight and Review bodies.
Dave also served in various leadership positions with the Canadian Armed Forces, Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Communications Security Establishment (CSE). He was Chief Strategist for ADGA Group Consultants, Chief Operating Officer for the Secdev Cyber Corp, Chief Security Officer at Bell Security Solutions Inc. where he led complex government research programs and development at Bell Canada. Dave is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Clairvoyance Cyber Corp and serves as Chair of the Cyber Council for the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI).
