Samuel Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Greg Burton as a Senior Associate. With more than 40 years of leadership in military operations and strategic business development, Burton brings expertise to the firm’s government relations and defence advisory services.

A decorated Canadian Army veteran, Burton served in key leadership roles across multiple regiments, including The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada and Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. His operational experience spans global peacekeeping missions and domestic Arctic operations. Following his military retirement, Burton spent nine years at DEW Engineering and Development as Senior Director of Strategic Business Development, expanding domestic and international opportunities in the defence sector.

At Samuel Associates, Burton will utilize his extensive knowledge of defence procurement, project management, and B2B/B2G collaboration to support clients in advancing their capabilities in Canada and abroad.

“Greg’s leadership and practical experience in both uniform and industry make him an invaluable addition to our team,” said Goran Samuel Pesic, President and CEO of Samuel Associates.
“His ability to understand operational requirements and translate them into strategic business opportunities aligns with our mission of enabling client success.”

This appointment reinforces Samuel Associates’ ongoing commitment to supporting Canada’s defence and security industries with experienced strategic counsel.
