Today, Samuel Associates welcomes a new member to its professional Government Relations team. Brian Macdonald will be responsible for providing political strategy to help clients resolve issues and support client-efforts related to federal government procurement and strategy.

Brian's experience inside and outside of politics has enabled him to navigate and resolve crises successfully in the private and public sectors. As a key member of Scotiabank's Operations, IT and Security division, he was responsible for ensuring its operational readiness to handle unexpected situations and emergencies. As a two-term elected MLA in New Brunswick, Brian worked to unify and mobilize political support for his constituency. He brought forward and championed important issues such as better healthcare access for veterans and those who suffer from mental illness in the community. Brian served Canada in various leadership positions, including as a senior political advisor to the Minister of National Defence and as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

"Brian brings real-world political experience to our Government Relations team. His first-hand knowledge about Canadian defence procurement will be invaluable in providing political lobbying strategy to support our clients’ seeking government opportunities," said Goran Samuel Pesic, President & CEO of Samuel Associates.
